WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2002 Lincoln Navigator, 2002 Ford Expedition, 2001 Lincoln Navigator, 2001 Ford RV Cutaway, and 2001 Ford Pickup. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: On vehicles equipped with Power Take-Off (PTO), ensure unit is turned off to perform this test.

Accelerate and upshift vehicle into 3rd gear. Release throttle and depress CCS switch on tester. Coast clutch should engage and LED should light Green. Release CCS switch. CCS should deactivate. If CCS functions correctly, see appropriate SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS under TROUBLE SHOOTING  for CCS engagement concerns. If CCS does not function correctly, perform TEST G: COAST CLUTCH SOLENOID  under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS or appropriate SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS under TROUBLE SHOOTING  for CCS engagement concerns.
