Wind Noise
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Mercury Mountaineer and 2004 Ford Explorer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Most wind noise leaks will occur at the corners of the windows, in the doors, or at the moonroof. Wind noise is detected by driving the vehicle at highway speeds or at speeds as specified by the customer. The vehicle should be driven in four different directions, with all windows closed, the radio off and the A/C blower motor off.
