Pinpoint Test C: No Power In Run

- C1 CHECK THE POWER SUPPLY TO THE IGNITION SWITCH
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Ignition Switch C250.
- Measure the voltage between the ignition switch C250, harness side and ground as follows:
Ignition Switch C250 Circuit Pin B1 37 (YE) Pin B2 37 (YE) Pin B4 37 (YE) Pin B5 37 (YE) - Are the voltages greater than 10 volts?
- Yes : GO to C2.
- No : REPAIR the circuit(s) in question. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
- C2 CHECK THE IGNITION SWITCH
- Carry out the ignition switch component test;
Refer to the appropriate COMPONENT TESTING article for schematic and connector information.
- Does the ignition switch test OK ?
- Yes : GO to C3.
- No : INSTALL a new ignition switch. REFER to IGNITION SWITCH . CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
- Carry out the ignition switch component test;
- C3 CHECK THE POWER SUPPLY TO THE SJB
- Disconnect: SJB C2280b.
- Disconnect: SJB C2280c.
- Connect: Ignition Switch C250.
- Key in ON position.
- Measure the voltage between the SJB connectors, harness side and ground as follows:
SJB Connectors Circuit C2280b pin 17 687 (GY/YE) C2280b pin 29 1050 (LG/VT) C2280c pin 32 297 (BK/LG) - Are the voltages greater than 10 volts?
- Yes : GO to C4.
- No : REPAIR the circuit(s) in question. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
- C4 CHECK FOR CORRECT SJB OPERATION
- Disconnect all SJB connectors.
- Check for:
- Corrosion
- Pushed-out pins
- Connect all SJB connectors and make sure they seat correctly.
- Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
- Is the concern still present?
- Yes : INSTALL a new SJB. REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES . TEST the system for normal operation.
- No : The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
