Instrument Cluster (IC): Installation

  1. Position the IC  , connect the electrical connector and install the 4 instrument cluster screws.
  2. Position the IC  finish panel, connect the instrument panel dimmer switch electrical connector, the ambient air temperature sensor (if equipped) and install the finish panel.
  3. If installing a new IC  , download the IC  configuration information from the scan tool into the new IC  . For additional information, refer to Programmable Module Installation (PMI) in MODULE CONFIGURATION .
  4. NOTE: If a new IC  is installed, the IC  and the PCM require a parameter reset to allow the IC  and the PCM to recognize each other. Failure to carry out the parameter reset to the IC  and the PCM results in a no start condition.
    NOTE: The vehicle's Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) keys must be programmed to the new IC  .
  5. If installing a new IC  , carry out the parameter reset and key programming procedure. For additional information, refer to ANTI-THEFT - PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) (non-hybrid) or ANTI-THEFT - PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) - HYBRID (hybrid).
