Removal and Installation

- Remove the wheel and tire. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Loosen the tie-rod end jam nut.
- To install, tighten to 63 Nm (46 lb-ft).
- Remove and discard the outer tie-rod end nut.
- To install, tighten the new nut to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft).
- Using the Ball Joint Separator, separate the outer tie-rod end from the front wheel knuckle.
- Remove the outer tie-rod end.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Check and, if necessary, adjust the front toe. For additional information, refer to TOE ADJUSTMENT .
