HVAC Module DTC Table

NOTE: This module utilizes a 5-character DTC followed by a 2-character failure type code. The failure type code provides information about specific fault conditions such as opens or shorts to ground. Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (CMDTCs) have an additional 2-character DTC status code suffix to assist in determining DTC history.
NOTE: Some PCM DTCs may inhibit A/C operation. If any PCM DTCs are retrieved, diagnose those first. Refer to PCM DTC TABLE .

B10B8:00 Push Buttons: No Sub Type Information Fusion and Milan without  navigation, button held too long may set DTC. ATTEMPT to clean buttons. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. If code returns, INSTALL a new HVAC module.
Fusion and Milan with  navigation and all MKZ  , button held too long may set DTC. ATTEMPT to clean buttons. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. If code returns, INSTALL a new Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM).

U0155:00 Lost Communication With Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Module: No Sub Type Information REFER to PINPOINT TEST C: THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) DOES NOT RESPOND TO THE SCAN TOOL to diagnose lost communication with the IPC module.
U0163:00 Lost Communication With navigation Control Module: No Sub Type Information REFER to PINPOINT TEST M: THE AUDIO CONTROL MODULE (ACM) DOES NOT RESPOND TO THE SCAN TOOL to diagnose lost communication with the Audio Control Module (ACM).
U0256:00 Lost Communication With Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM) "A": No Sub Type Information REFER to PINPOINT TEST N: THE FRONT CONTROLS INTERFACE MODULE (FCIM) DOES NOT RESPOND TO THE SCAN TOOL to diagnose lost communication with the FCIM  .
U0422:68 Invalid Data Received From Body Control Module: Event Information This DTC can set due to a fault in the SJB  or because the SJB  is unable to communicate over the Controller Area Network (CAN) bus. CARRY OUT a self-test of the SJB  . If the scan tool indicates that the SJB  is not responding, REFER to PINPOINT TEST U: THE SMART JUNCTION BOX (SJB) DOES NOT RESPOND TO THE SCAN TOOL to diagnose the network communication concern. If SJB  DTCs are present, REFER to DTC TABLES .
U0423:68 Invalid Data Received From Instrument Panel Cluster Control Module: Event Information This DTC can set due to a fault in the IPC  or because the IPC  is unable to communicate over the CAN bus. CARRY OUT a self-test of the IPC  . If the scan tool indicates that the IPC  is not responding, REFER to PINPOINT TEST C: THE IPC DOES NOT RESPOND TO THE SCAN TOOL to diagnose the network communication concern. If IPC  DTCs are present, REFER to PINPOINT TEST A: THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) IS INOPERATIVE to diagnose the IPC  system fault
U0557:68 Invalid Data Received From Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM) "A": Event Information This DTC can set due to a fault in the FCIM  or because the FCIM  is unable to communicate over the CAN  bus. CARRY OUT a self-test of the FCIM  . If the scan tool indicates that the FCIM  is not responding, REFER to PINPOINT TEST N: THE FRONT CONTROLS INTERFACE MODULE (FCIM) DOES NOT RESPOND TO THE SCAN TOOL to diagnose the network communication concern. If FCIM  DTCs are present, REFER to FRONT CONTROLS INTERFACE MODULE (FCIM) DTC TABLE -- FUSION, MILAN WITHOUT NAVIGATION to diagnose the FCIM  fault
U1000:00 Solid State Driver Protection Activated-Driver Disabled: No Sub Type Information INSTALL a new HVAC module. REFER to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (Fusion, Milan) and REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (MKZ) .
U2100:00 Initial Configuration Not Complete: No Sub Type Information INSTALL a new HVAC module. REFER to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (Fusion, Milan) and REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (MKZ) .
U3000:41 Control Module: General Checksum Failure INSTALL a new HVAC module. REFER to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (Fusion, Milan) and REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (MKZ) .
U3002:62 Vehicle Identification Number: Signal Compare Failure INSTALL a new HVAC module. REFER to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (Fusion, Milan) and REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (MKZ) .
U3003:16 Battery Voltage: Circuit Voltage Below Threshold Go To PINPOINT TEST H .
U3003:17 Battery Voltage: Circuit Voltage Above Threshold Go To PINPOINT TEST H .
All Other DTCs - REFER to the Master DTC Table in DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) TABLE .
