Removal And Installation

NOTE: For non-functional ignition lock cylinders, the steering column lock module has to be replaced. For additional information, refer to STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES article.
  1. Remove the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) transceiver. For additional information, refer to ANTI-THEFT - PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) article or ANTI-THEFT - PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) - HYBRID article.
  2. NOTE: The ignition lock cylinder must be in the RUN position.
  3. Using a suitable tool, press the release pin and remove the ignition lock cylinder.

  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Verify the ignition lock cylinder operation.
