Removal & Installation (Electric - Frame Mounted)

NOTE:
Fuel Line Disconnect Tool 310-S039 (T90T-9550-S) is required to perform this procedure. See Figure.
- Disconnect negative battery cable. On vehicles with dual batteries, see DUAL BATTERIES under MISCELLANEOUS. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE .
- Raise and support vehicle. Disconnect fuel pump electrical connector located behind fuel pump near frame rail. See Fig 1.
- Remove fuel pump supply line retaining clip, discard clip and remove fuel supply line from fuel pump. Using Fuel Line Disconnect Tool, disconnect fuel delivery line. See FUEL LINE CONNECTORS .
- Unclip brake lines from fuel pump bracket. Remove pump bracket mounting nuts, and remove fuel pump with bracket. See Fig 2. Loosen pinch bolt and remove fuel pump from mounting bracket.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fuel pump mounting bracket nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
