Removal & Installation (4.6L & 5.4L)

CAUTION:
Use "O" rings made of special fuel resistant material. Use of ordinary "O" rings can cause the fuel system to leak. Do not reuse "O" rings.
Disconnect negative battery cable. On vehicles with dual batteries, see DUAL BATTERIES under MISCELLANEOUS. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Remove clip from fuel pressure regulator. Remove fuel pressure regulator. See Fig 1. Remove and discard "O" ring. To install, reverse removal procedure. Install NEW "O" rings and lubricate with clean engine oil.
