Fuel Tank Draining

WARNING:
Do not smoke or carry lighted tobacco or have open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel-related component. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and may be ignited. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
- Relieve the fuel system pressure. For additional information, refer to Fuel System Pressure Release in this article.
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES article.
- Disconnect the fuel tank filler pipe from the fuel tank.
- To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
- Attach the fuel draining hose to the storage tanker and insert the hose through the disconnected filler pipe hose. Pump the fuel into the fuel storage tank.
