Removal and Installation

- Remove the 4 transaxle roll restrictor cross brace bolts.
- Clean the transaxle roll restrictor cross brace bolts using a wire brush and apply threadlock.
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
- Remove the bolt and the transaxle roll restrictor cross brace.
- Clean the transaxle roll restrictor cross brace-to-roll restrictor using a wire brush and apply threadlock.
- To install, tighten to 48 N.m (35 lb-ft).
- Disconnect the brake booster vacuum fitting and position aside.
- Remove the brake master cylinder. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the hydraulic control unit (HCU). For additional information, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the redundant self-locking pin cover and the self-locking pin.
- Remove the booster rod and washer from the brake pedal.
- Remove and discard the 4 brake booster nuts.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- Remove the brake booster.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
