Drive Pinion Flange and Drive Pinion Seal: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove the driveshaft. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove and discard the drive pinion flange nut.

  4. Using the special tool, remove the drive pinion flange.

  5. Remove and, if necessary, discard the drive pinion seal.
