Input Shaft Seal

SPECIAL TOOL DESCRIPTION

 Installer, Power Take Off Halfshaft Seal 205-815
    CAUTION: Make sure the input shaft seal, the input shaft seal bore and the input shaft are clean and dry. Do not oil the input shaft seal or leakage will occur.
    NOTE: Always install a new input shaft seal.

  1. Using the special tool, install a new input shaft seal.
  2. Install the input shaft oil slinger.
    3. NOTE: For a fluid leak or seep condition, install a new vent cap and filter.
  3. Install a new vent cap and filter.
  4. Install the power transfer unit (PTU). For additional information, refer to POWER TRANSFER UNIT (PTU)  .
