Side Impact Sensor - First Row, B-Pillar: Installation

- Align the side impact sensor locator tabs to the openings in the B-pillar sheet metal.
- Install the side impact sensor bolt.
- Tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb-in).
- Connect the side impact sensor electrical connector.
- Install the B-pillar trim panel. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Repower the system. For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEPOWERING AND REPOWERING .
NOTE:
Make sure the B-pillar and side impact severity sensor mating surfaces are clean and free of foreign material.
WARNING:
The tightening torque of the air bag side impact sensor retaining bolts is critical for correct system operation.
