Removal and Installation

WARNING:
The traction battery and charging system contain high voltage components and wiring. High voltage insulated safety gloves and a face shield must be worn when carrying out any diagnostics on this vehicle. Failure to follow these instructions may result in severe personal injury or death.
- Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT .
- Depower the high voltage battery. For additional information, refer to HIGH-VOLTAGE TRACTION BATTERY SYSTEMS DEPOWERING .
- Remove the floor console. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the 2 accelerometer nuts.
- To install, tighten to 7 N.m (62 lb-in).
- Remove the accelerometer.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE:
When installing the accelerometer the electrical connector must face the driver seat.
