DTC P0A78: Drive Motor A Inverter Performance

P0A78 - DRIVE MOTOR A INVERTER PERFORMANCE

Description:  This DTC indicates a traction motor high voltage inverter or a traction battery malfunction.
Possible Causes: 
  • Inverter malfunction.
  • Inverter temperature sensor malfunction.
  • Motor control module (MCM) malfunction.
  • Motor gate drive circuit open.
  • Motor current sensor malfunction.
  • Motor current out of range.
  • MCM supply voltage out of range.
  • High voltage traction battery malfunction.
Diagnostic Aids:  The TCM DTC P0A78 could be stored as a result of a traction battery fault. Check for the presence of TBCM DTC P0A1F, P0A27, or P0A8D.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory
