Analog instrument cluster is equipped with speedometer, fuel, oil pressure, temperature and voltage gauges. Some models are equipped with tachometer. Instrument cluster is Hybrid Electronic Cluster (HEC) with self-diagnostic capability. All F150 Pickups with 4-wheel drive, and/or power windows, are equipped with a Generic Electronic Module (GEM). F150 2-wheel drive pickups without power windows are equipped with Central Timer Module (CTM). GEM and CTM have self-diagnostic capabilities.

Speedometer, odometer, engine coolant temperature, service engine soon and low range indicator input signals are sent from Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to HEC over standard corporate protocol communication network buses. SERVICE ENGINE SOON indicator will illuminate when PCM has set a diagnostic trouble code. For information about communication network, see MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK - F150 PICKUP article.
