Test D: Antenna Not Connected Or Defective Transceiver

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Lincoln Blackwood and 2002 Ford Pickup. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Verify Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) transceiver module is correctly installed. See PATS TRANSCEIVER MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Repair as necessary. If installed correctly, go to next step.
  2. Connect Worldwide Diagnostic System (WDS) or New Generation Star (NGS) tester to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located below center of instrument panel, right of steering column. Using NGS tester, perform instrument cluster self-test. If DTC B1232 or B2103 exists, install new PATS transceiver module. Repeat self-test and clear DTCs. If DTCs B1232 and B2103 do not exist, system is functioning properly at this time.
