Removal and Installation

- Remove the seat from the vehicle. For additional information, refer to REAR SEAT - 20 PERCENT, SECOND ROW .
- Remove the 3 screws and the latch trim covers.
- Remove the 3 screws and the pivot latch trim covers.
- Remove the release handle cable.
- Pinch to release the retainer clip.
- Remove the cable end hook from the retaining hole.
- Position the cable to the side.
- Release the seat backrest J-clip. Remove all the staples and lift the material to expose the backrest nut and bolts.
- Remove the safety belt buckle and retractor belt anchor bolt.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Remove the 2 upper latch bolts
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Remove the backrest pivot nut.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Remove the backrest.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
