Disassembly and Assembly

  1. Remove the second row, 20 percent seat. For additional information, refer to REAR SEAT - 20 PERCENT, SECOND ROW .
  2. Remove the second row 20 percent seat backrest. For additional information, refer to REAR SEAT BACKREST - SECOND ROW, 20 PERCENT .
  3. Release the seat cushion trim cover J-clips attaching the seat cushion trim cover to the cushion pan.
  4. NOTE: On assembly, make sure to feed the pull strap through the seat cushion foam pad and trim cover.
  5. Remove the seat cushion foam pad and trim cover from the seat pan.
  6. NOTE: Use care when separating the seat upholstery from the hook and loop strip, or the hook and loop strip can be torn from the seat cushion foam pad.
  7. Remove the seat cushion trim cover from the foam pad.
  8. Remove the bolts and the storage hinge assembly.
    • To install, tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
  9. Remove the screw and the pull strap.
  10. Remove the storage hinge cover and storage bin.
  11. Remove the pin and the catch.
  12. Remove the 2 bolts and the latch.
    • To install, tighten to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft).
  13. Remove the bolt and the safety belt buckles.
    • To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
  14. Remove the 2 pivot bracket bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
  15. Remove the pivot bolt, bushing and the pivot bracket.
    • To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
  16. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
