Valve Seat

Inspect valve seat for any evidence of roughness or pitting at valve contact surface. Reface seat as necessary. Before refacing valve seats, check valve-to-guide clearance. If clearance is not within specification, replace components as necessary. See CYLINDER HEAD table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS.
Measure valve seat width. See CYLINDER HEAD table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS. If servicing valve seats, valves must be serviced or replaced. Valve seat replacement information is not available from manufacturer.
