Pinpoint Test X: The Rear Wiper Wash And Wipe Function Does Not Operate

- X1 CHECK THE MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Multifunction Switch C202a.
- Carry out the multifunction switch component test.
Refer to COMPONENT TESTING for schematic and connector information.
- Did the multifunction switch pass the component test?
Yes
GO to X2.
No
INSTALL a new multifunction switch. REFER to STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES .
- X2 CHECK CIRCUIT 1302 (WH/LG) FOR OPEN
- Measure the resistance between C202a-4, circuit 1302 (WH/LG), harness side and ground.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to X3.
No
REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- X3 CHECK CIRCUIT 410 (WH/OG) FOR OPEN
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Rear Window Wiper Motor C4171.
- Measure the resistance between C202a-8, circuit 410 (WH/OG), harness side and C4171-4, circuit 410 (WH/OG), harness side.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
Go To PINPOINT TEST Y .
No
REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
