Symptom Chart

SYMPTOM CHART

Condition Possible Sources Action
  • The fog lamps are inoperative
  • Circuitry.
  • Fog lamp relay.
  • Fog lamp switch.
  • Smart junction box (SJB).
  • The individual fog lamp is inoperative
  • Circuitry.
  • MEASURE the resistance between the LH fog lamp C152 pin B (or RH fog lamp C162 pin B), circuit 57 (BK), harness side and ground.
    • If the resistance is less than 5 ohms, REPAIR circuit 478 (TN/OG). TEST the system for normal operation.
    • If the resistance is greater than 5 ohms, REPAIR circuit 57 (BK). TEST the system for normal operation.
  • The fog lamps are on continuously
  • Fog lamp relay.
  • Fog lamp switch.
  • Circuitry.
