Pinpoint Test Q: The Fog Lamps Are On Continuously

  1. Q1 CHECK CIRCUIT 478 (TN/OG) FOR SHORT TO POWER 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: Fog Lamp Relay C1007.
    • Key in ON position.
    • Do the fog lamps continue to illuminate? 
    1. Yes  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. No  : GO to Q2.
  2. Q2 CHECK THE FOG LAMP RELAY 
    • Carry out the fog lamp relay component test.

      Refer to the appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS for schematic and connector information.

    • Is the fog lamp relay OK? 
    1. Yes  : GO to Q3.
    2. No  : INSTALL a new fog lamp relay. TEST the system for normal operation.
  3. Q3 CHECK THE FOG LAMP SWITCH 
    • Connect: Fog Lamp Relay C1007.
    • Disconnect: Fog Lamp Switch C240.
    • Do the fog lamps continue to illuminate? 
    1. Yes  : REPAIR circuit 477 (LB/BK). TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. No  : INSTALL a new fog lamp switch. REFER to LAMP SWITCH - FOG . TEST the system for normal operation.
