Removal & Installation - Front Cable

  1. Remove parking brake control. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION - CONTROL  .
  2. Raise and support vehicle.
  3. Pull tab on underside of parking brake control handle and slide handle up. See Fig 1 .
  4. Disconnect the rear parking brake cables. Remove the equalizer. Fig 2 .
  5. Snap the front cable grommet out of the floor and remove the cable. See Fig 3 .
  6. Tie mechanics wire to the old cable and conduit to make installation of new cable easier. See Fig 4 .
  7. Using a 13 mm box-end wrench, depress the conduit retaining prongs and remove the parking brake cable and conduit. See Fig 5 .
  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
