Removal & Installation: Spindle: Installation

  1. Inspect upper and lower ball joint boot seals for damage and replace (if necessary). Position spindle on upper ball joint. Install and tighten spindle nut and bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table.
  2. Position spindle over lower ball joint. Raise control arm until spindle is seated on ball joint. Install and tighten lower ball joint nut to specification. Install cotter pin.
  3. Install and tighten tie rod end nut to specification. Install cotter pin. Install dust shield, rotor and caliper. Install wheel and tire assembly.
