Pinpoint Test Hl - Overdrive Off Indicator Is Never/Always On
- Turn ignition on. Observe EIC display. If warning is always on, go to next step. If warning is never on, go to step 4.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect PCM, located at upper left side of firewall. Turn ignition on. If warning appears, go to next step. Replace PCM if warning does not appear.
- Remove EIC. See ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (EIC) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Inspect White/Light Green wire for continuity between EIC connector C255 pin No. 26 and PCM. See Figure . If continuity exists, replace EIC. Repair White/Light Green wire if continuity does not exist.
- Perform step 4) of PINPOINT TEST HA . If all voltages are as specified, go to next step. Repair appropriate wire if voltages are not as specified.
- Turn ignition off. Unplug PCM connector. Connect jumper wire between White/Light Green wire at harness connector pin No. 55 and ground. Turn ignition on. If warning is not on, go to next step. Turn ignition on. If warning is now on, replace PCM.
- Remove jumper wire. Inspect White/Light Green wire for continuity between EIC connector C255 pin No. 26 and PCM connector pin No. 55. If continuity exists, replace EIC. Repair White/Light Green wire if continuity does not exist.
