Pinpoint Test He - Low Washer Fluid Warning Always On

  1. If warning is always on when fluid level is high, go to next step. If warning never comes on when fluid level is low, go to step 4).
  2. Turn ignition off. Unplug connector from fluid sensor. Turn ignition on. If warning appears, go to next step. Service fluid sensor if warning does not appear.
  3. Turn ignition off. Unplug connector from reservoir fluid level sensor. Turn ignition on. If warning still appears, go to next step. Service low washer fluid switch if warning no longer appears.
  4. Turn ignition off. Remove EIC. See, under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION, ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (EIC)  . Check for continuity between EIC harness connector C255 pin No. 23 (Pink/Yellow wire) and fluid sensor. See Figure . If continuity exists, replace EIC. Repair Pink/Yellow wire if continuity does not exist.
  5. Perform step 4) of PINPOINT TEST HA  . If all voltages are as specified, go to next step. Repair appropriate wire if voltages are not as specified.
  6. Turn ignition off. Unplug connector from fluid level sensor. Connect jumper wire between harness connector terminals. Turn ignition on. Go to next step if warning does not appear. Service windshield washer fluid level sensor if warning appears.
  7. Turn ignition off. Unplug EIC connectors. Inspect for continuity between EIC harness connector C255 pin No. 23 (Pink/Yellow wire) and fluid sensor. Inspect ground wire (Black wire) for continuity between fluid sensor harness connector and ground. Repair wire as necessary. If wire is okay, replace EIC.
