Piston Rings

  1. Ensure ring end gap and side clearance are within specification. See PISTONS PINS & RINGS SPECIFICATION  table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS at end of article.
  2. Position ring end gaps at designated areas. See Fig 1. Position oil ring expander over solid area of piston. DO NOT position expander over piston oil drain hole.
