Rear Crankshaft Oil Seal: Installation

  1. Install Rear Crankshaft Seal Pilot (T88P-6701-B2) onto Rear Crankshaft Seal Installer (T88P-6701-B1). Coat crankshaft sealing area, oil seal lip, seal pilot and seal installer with engine oil.
  2. Install oil seal over seal pilot and onto seal installer. Remove seal pilot. Position seal installer on crankshaft and install oil seal.
  3. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table at end of article.
CAUTION: When installing flywheel on M/T applications, align mark on flywheel with the untapped hole in crankshaft flange.
