Removal & Installation: Engine: Installation

- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten upper transaxle-to-engine bolts before tightening the lower bolts. Tighten all bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table at end of article.
- When installing fuel lines, install new "O" rings on fuel lines. Use only specified fuel resistant "O" rings (Brown in color). Lightly coat "O" rings with clean engine oil before installing. Clean fittings and replace garter spring (if necessary).
- Adjust all control cables and fluid levels. Fill cooling system with Ford Coolant (E2FZ-19549-AA). Evacuate and recharge A/C system.
NOTE:
On M/T models, remove engine and transaxle as an assembly.

- Use NEW axle shaft nut. Lubricate axle shaft splines with Lubricant (C1AZ-19590-D) before installing in transaxle.
- When installing fuel lines, install new "O" rings on fuel lines. Use only specified fuel resistant "O" rings (Brown in color). Lightly coat "O" rings with clean engine oil before installing. Clean fittings and replace garter spring (if necessary).
- Adjust all control cables and fluid levels. Fill cooling system with Ford Coolant (E2FZ-19549-AA). Evacuate and recharge A/C system.
