Crankshaft Front Seal

NOTE: It may be necessary to remove engine to obtain clearance for component replacement.
  1. Remove accessory drive belts. Remove crankshaft pulley bolt and washer. Using Puller (T77F-4220-B1), remove crankshaft pulley. Using Seal Remover (T74P-6700-A), remove seal from front cover.
  2. To install, coat seal with Lubricant (C1AZ-19590-BA). Using Seal Installer (T83T-4676-A), install seal. Ensure spring is still properly seated in the seal.
  3. Coat crankshaft pulley hub with multipurpose grease and install pulley. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table at end of article.
