Odometer Reading Incorrect, Increases Or Decreases A Large Amount

  1. Enter self-test mode (hold in "TRIP RESET" button and turn ignition switch from "OFF" to "RUN" position). Observe zeroes on digital display and then release "TRIP RESET" button.
  2. Test one, as indicated by "01" in the ones and tenths digit of odometer, should pass by displaying a "P" on the speedometer ones digit and sounding a constant pass tone. If okay, go to next step. If not, replace speedometer module.
  3. Advance from test one to odometer memory test by pressing "TRIP RESET" button until "07" is displayed in odometer. Test passes if "P" is displayed in speedometer ones digit and a pass tone is heard. If okay, go to next step. If not, replace speedometer module.
  4. Check speedometer for correct operation. If okay, go to SPEEDOMETER CONSTANTLY READS TOO HIGH OR TOO LOW and SPEED INDICATOR JUMPS UP AND DOWN ERRATICALLY tests.
