Mileage Constantly Reads Too High Or Too Low

  1. Check speedometer for correct operation. If okay, go to next step. If not, go to SPEEDOMETER CONSTANTLY READS TOO HIGH OR TOO LOW test.
  2. Check display for proper operation. If okay, go to next step. If not, go to DISPLAY SCRAMBLED, SEGMENTS HALF LIT, SEGMENTS MISSING, INCORRECT DISPLAY, DISPLAY STUCK WITH ALL SEGMENTS ON test.
  3. Check odometer memory by advancing from test one of self-test to odometer memory test by pressing "TRIP RESET" button until "07" is displayed in odometer. Test passes if "P" is displayed in speedometer ones digit and a pass tone is heard. If okay, system is okay. If not, go to ODOMETER READING INCORRECT, INCREASES OR DECREASES A LARGE AMOUNT test.
