Trip Odometer Malfunctioning, Regular Odometer Displayed

  1. Place ignition switch in "RUN" position. After initial display test and seat belt reminder chime have finished, press "ODO SEL" button and listen for beep. If beep is heard, replace speedometer module. If not, go to next step.
  2. Remove trim panel to expose cluster. Verify that connector from switch to electronic instrument cluster is secure and properly aligned. If okay, go to next step. If not, repair connector as required and recheck.
  3. Remove switch module assembly and perform SWITCH TEST (MODULE DOES NOT RESPOND TO BUTTONS) test. If okay, replace speedometer module. If not, replace switch assembly.
