System Scanner

The system scanner receives input signals from the lamp out module, washer fluid level, and the door ajar sensors. When a warning condition occurs, a diagnostic message is displayed along with a one-second tone (beep). The message is displayed as long as it is active, but no additional tones will sound. The scanner displays the following diagnostic messages:

• "BRAKELAMP OUT"
• "HEADLAMP OUT"
• "LIFT GATE AJAR"
• "NORMAL"
• "TAIL LAMP OUT"
• "WASHER LEVEL LOW"

If more than one warning condition occurs, one message will be displayed for about 5 seconds accompanied by a one-second tone, and then a second message will be displayed accompanied by a one-second tone, etc.
