Latch, Door: Removal

- Remove the door trim panel. Refer to PANEL, DOOR TRIM, REMOVAL .
- Looking in from behind the door trim panel, disconnect the latch rod (1) from the interior latch handle (3).
- If necessary, remove the fasteners (2) securing the interior latch handle (3) to the door trim panel.
- Remove the watershield from the door. Refer to WATERSHIELD, DOOR, REMOVAL .
- Detach the glass from the regulator and remove the rear glass run. Refer to GLASS, DOOR, REMOVAL .
- Looking in through the rear access hole in the door, disconnect the electrical harness from the latch.
- Disconnect the latch rod (1) from the latch clip (2).
- Detach the latch rod cable (1) from the retaining clip on the door.
- Remove the fasteners (3) securing the latch (2) to the door.
- Remove the latch (2) from the door.
