Reservoir, Windshield Washer: Removal: Reservoir
- Turn the steering wheel to move the front wheels to the full left position.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Remove the filler neck from the washer reservoir. Refer to RESERVOIR, WINDSHIELD WASHER, REMOVAL .
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Remove the left front wheel house splash shield from the vehicle. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, REAR WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL .
- Using hand pressure, firmly grasp and pull the washer pump (2) upward far enough to disengage the pump inlet nipple from the rubber grommet seal/filter screen in the reservoir (1). Care must be taken not to damage the reservoir.
- Remove the rubber grommet seal from the washer pump mounting hole in the reservoir and discard.
- Disengage the front and rear washer hoses from the integral troughs on the outboard side of the reservoir and position aside.
- Use a drill to remove the two blind rivets (2) that secure the washer reservoir (1) to the outboard side of the left front support structure.
- Remove the reservoir from the wheel house.
