Section 61 (C510 Manual Transmission (Service Information) - 500): Installation

- Install the transaxle to vehicle using a suitable transmission jack.
- Pull the engine forward to gain clearance for the stud to pass through the engine block.
- Install the nut (1), tighten to 60 N.m (44ft. lbs.).
- Install the remaining transmission bell housing bolts (3) tighten to 40 N.m (30 ft. lbs.).
- Install the rear transmission mount bracket bolt, nut and bracket to transmission tighten the bolt to 80 N.m (59 ft. lbs.).
- Install the rear transmission mount bolt (1) nut and mount (2) to the frame tighten the bolt to 130 N.m (96 ft. lbs.).
- Install the left side mount. Tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (37 ft. lbs.).
- Install exhaust extension pipe.
- Install the oxygen sensor wire in the loom/clip (1).
- Connect the oxygen sensor electrical connector.
- Install the starter. Refer to STARTER, INSTALLATION .
- Install the halfshafts. Refer to INSTALLATION

- Install the cross car cradle brace (1). Tighten the bolts to 90 N.m (66 ft. lbs.)
- Install the belly pan if equipped. Refer to BELLY PAN, INSTALLATION .
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install upper bell housing bolts and tighten to 60 N.m (44ft. lbs.
- Connect selector cable (1) to the lever.
- Connect the cable to the mounting bracket (1).
- Connect the shift cable (1) to the lever.
- Install the concentric slave cylinder hose (2)
- Connect reverse lamp switch connector (2).
- Install the ground strap at the transmission.
- Install the charged air cooler outlet hose on the throttle body.
- Install the cooling system module.
- Install both head lamp assemblies. Refer to UNIT, HEADLAMP, INSTALLATION

- Install both vertical brace with two bolts (1) tightened to 45 N.m (33 ft. lbs.).
- Install the Front Fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, INSTALLATION .
- Install air cleaner assembly. Refer to AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION .
- Install the battery tray. Refer to TRAY, BATTERY, INSTALLATION .
- Fill engine coolant system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Recharge the refrigerant system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Check the transmission fluid levels and correct as needed. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Road test vehicle and inspect for leaks.
