Module, Park Assist: Removal

WARNING:

On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12-volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12-volt system. You must perform the 12-volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.

  1. Perform the 12-Volt Power Down procedure. Refer to 12-VOLT POWER DOWN .
  2. Remove the trim from the right quarter inner panel to access the Park Assist Module (PAM) (4) located near the base of the inner C-pillar. Refer to PANEL, QUARTER TRIM, REAR, REMOVAL .
  3. Disconnect the two (with rear park assist) or three (with front and rear park assist) body wire harness connectors (2) from the PAM connector receptacles.
  4. Remove the screw (1) that secures the PAM to the right quarter inner panel.
  5. Slide the PAM upward far enough to disengage the lower mounting tab from the stamped pocket (3) in the right quarter inner panel.
  6. Remove the PAM from the vehicle.
