Section 19 (Horn System (Service Information) 500 - Electric): Horn: Removal

WARNING:

On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12-volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12-volt system. You must perform the 12-volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.

Perform the 12-Volt Power Down procedure. Refer to 12-VOLT POWER DOWN .
Remove the splash shield from the left front wheel house. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL .
Disconnect the wire harness electrical connector (2) from the horn (3).
Remove the screw (1) that secures the horn bracket to the left outboard end of the Front End Module (FEM) carrier.
Remove the horn and bracket as a unit from the FEM carrier.
