Module, A/C And Heater: Installation

NOTE:
Air inlet housing removed from view for clarity.
- Position the A/C heater module (2) to the right side of the HVAC housing (5).NOTE:
Use a flexible drive socket to remove the lower module retaining screw (3).
- Install the three retaining screws (1 and 3) that secure the module to the housing. Tighten the screws to 0.8 N.m (7 in. lbs.).
- Connect the wire harness connector (4) to the A/C heater module.
- Install the glove box. Refer to GLOVE BOX, INSTRUMENT PANEL, INSTALLATION .
- Reconnect the negative battery cable.
NOTE:
If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to determine if alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
