DECKLID/Hatch/Liftgate/Tailgate/Swing Gate: Latch: Installation

1. Position the latch into the liftgate.
2. Install the fasteners (1) securing the latch to (2) the liftgate.
3. Tighten the fasteners (1) to 8 Nm (71 lbf-in).

4. Connect the wiring connector (3) to the latch (1).

5. Install the liftgate lower trim panel (1). Refer to PANEL, TRIM, LIFTGATE, INSTALLATION .
6. Connect the battery negative cable.
7. Close the liftgate.
