Test 44A - No Response
NOTE:
Perform TEST 2A
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION

. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A
after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Transmission Control Module (TCM) connector. Turn ignition on. Use external voltmeter. On F24S and FJ22 models, measure voltage at terminal No. 51 on TCM connector. On all other models, measure voltage at terminal No. 11 on TCM connector. On all models, if voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open fused ignition switch output circuit.
- Use external voltmeter. On F24S and FJ22 models, measure voltage at terminal No. 16 on TCM connector. On all other models, measure voltage at terminal No. 56 on TCM connector. On all models, if voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open 12-volt supply circuit.
- Turn ignition off. Use external ohmmeter. On F24S and FJ22 models, measure resistance at terminal No. 13 on TCM connector. On all other models, measure resistance at terminal No. 53 on TCM connector. On all models, if resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open ground circuit.
- If vehicle is JA or JX model, go to step 8). Disconnect scan tool from DLC. Use external ohmmeter. On F24S and FJ22 models, measure resistance between terminal No. 7 on 12-pin DLC connector and terminal No. 3 on TCM connector. On all other models, measure resistance between terminal No. 3 on 16-pin DLC connector and terminal No. 43 on TCM connector.
- On all models, if resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open CCD Bus (+) circuit.
- Use external ohmmeter. On F24S and FJ22 models, measure resistance between terminal No. 8 on 12-pin DLC connector and terminal No. 44 on TCM connector. On all other models, measure resistance between terminal No. 11 on 16-pin DLC connector and terminal No. 4 on TCM connector.
- On all models, if resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace TCM. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open CCD Bus (-) circuit.
- Turn ignition on. Connect jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 43 on TCM connector. Using scan tool, select BODY, COMPUTER, then SYSTEM TEST. Perform CCD BUS test. If scan tool displays BUS SHORT TO GROUND, go to next step. If scan tool does not display BUS SHORT TO GROUND, go to step 11).
- Move jumper wire to terminal No. 4. Perform CCD BUS test. If scan tool does not display BUS SHORT TO GROUND, go to next step. If scan tool displays BUS SHORT TO GROUND, replace TCM.
- Connect jumper wire to ground and backprobe terminal No. 14 on Body Control Module (BCM) 14-pin connector. Perform CCD BUS test. If scan tool displays BUS SHORT TO GROUND, repair open CCD BUS (-) circuit between TCM and BCM. If scan tool does not display BUS SHORT TO GROUND, replace BCM.
- Connect jumper wire between ground and backprobe terminal No. 6 on Body Control Module (BCM) 14-pin connector. Perform CCD BUS test. If scan tool displays BUS SHORT TO GROUND, repair open CCD BUS (+) circuit between TCM and BCM. If scan tool does not display BUS SHORT TO GROUND, replace BCM.
