Test TC-111A - Too Little Sec Air Or Too Much Sec Air
NOTE:

in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. After each repair, perform TEST VER-2A .
- This test applies only to FJ22 and F24S bodies. SECONDARY AIR FLOW DTC sets if secondary air solenoid circuit is not in expected state when requested by PCM. Possible causes are: open or shorted secondary air solenoid circuit, open fused ignition switch output circuit to splice, failed secondary air solenoid, or failed PCM. Go to next step.
- Visually inspect secondary air system. Repair hoses, tubes and connections as required. If hoses, tubes and connections are okay, go to next step.
- Remove 90 degree rubber hose from secondary air solenoid. Check diaphragm operation by looking into secondary air solenoid port and observing diaphragm lift when engine is started. Start engine. If diaphragm does not lift when engine is started, replace secondary air solenoid. If diaphragm lifts, go to next step.
- Remove aspirator valve. Press on reed to ensure reed is not stuck. If reed does not move freely, replace aspirator valve. If reed valve moves freely, inspect exhaust system for restriction. Repair exhaust system as required. Test is complete.
