  2. Check if initial symptom still exists. If initial or another symptom exists, repair is not complete. Check if any pertinent Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) apply to vehicle and return to TEST NTC-1A , if necessary.
  3. If any DTCs have not been diagnosed, go to TEST TC-1A  and finish diagnosing other DTCs. If all DTCs have been diagnosed, go to next step.
  4. If Powertrain Control Module (PCM) has not been changed, connect scan tool to PCM data link connectors. Turn ignition off, then on. Erase DTCs. Using scan tool, reset all values in adaptive memory. Disconnect scan tool. Go to next step.
  5. To ensure no other DTC remains, for one of the following DTCs, turn off A/C and start appropriate DTC test again to ensure DTC has not returned. For all other DTCs, go to next step:
    • NO CHANGE IN MAP FROM START TO RUN
    • FUEL SYSTEM RICH
    • FUEL SYSTEM LEAN
    • CATALYTIC CONVERTER EFFICIENCY FAILURE

Start engine and continue driving vehicle. Ensure transmission shifts through all gears. After road test, turn engine off. Go to next step.
  7. Using scan tool, read DTCs. If repaired DTC has reset, repair is not complete. Check all pertinent Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs), and return to TEST TC-1A, if necessary. If another DTC exists, return to TEST TC-1A  and follow path specified by other DTC. If no other DTCs exist, repair is now complete.
