Trip Computer Does Not Display Or Displays Incorrect Information Test

  1. Ensure ignition switch is in RUN position. Inspect fuses No. 6 and 7. If fuse is blown, check for circuit short and repair. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Replace fuse. If fuse is okay, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between ground and terminal No. 15 of trip computer connector. If continuity is present, circuit is okay. Go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair open circuit between trip computer connector terminal No. 15 and ground. See Figure .
  3. Ensure ignition switch is in RUN position. Check for battery voltage at terminals No. 13 and 14 of trip computer connector. If battery voltage is not present, repair open circuit(s) between fuse block and terminals No. 13 and 14. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  4. If battery voltage is present at terminals, all other instrument panel illumination lights are on and trip computer is not illuminated, replace trip computer. If trip computer is illuminated, but the information displayed is incorrect, perform TRIP COMPUTER SELF-DIAGNOSTICS  test. If display is not okay after performing self-diagnostic test, replace trip computer.
