High Temperature, Oil Level Or Coolant Level Indicator Light Stays On Test

  1. Ensure all fluid levels are good. Ensure ignition switch is in RUN position. Disconnect each switch connector for high temperature, coolant level and oil level switch one at a time while checking if indicator light goes out. If indicator light does go out, replace defective switch.
  2. If indicator light stays on with all switch connectors disconnected, locate and repair short to ground in wiring between switch connectors and instrument cluster connector. Repair as required. See Figure . See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
