Park Detent And Manual Shaft Installation

1 - Park Rod

2 - Detent Hub

1. Insert the and park rod into the park rod guide and the detent hub into the transmission.

   2 - Manual Shaft

   3 - Pliers

2. Insert the manual shaft into the detent hub and transmission housing and align the holes in the detent hub and the manual shaft.

   1 - Roll-Pin

   2 - Detent Hub

3. Insert the tapered end of the roll-pin into the hole in the detent hub.

   2 - Punch

   3 - Hammer

4. Using a suitable hammer and pin-punch, drive the roll-pin into of the detent hub until the head is flush.

   1 - Spring

   2 - Detent

   3 - Screwdriver

5. Using a suitable screw driver, pry the spring over the top of the detent hub.
6. Place the manual lever in position on the manual shift lever.
7. Install the nut to hold the manual shift lever to the manual shaft and tighten to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

8. Snap the shifter cable end on the manual lever on the transmission.
9. Install the valve body. Refer to VALVE BODY, INSTALLATION .
