Diagnostic Test

CHECK VEHICLE REPAIR HISTORY 

1. Refer to the vehicle repair history.

   Was the TCM replaced recently, or the transmission replaced with a remanufactured unit?

   Yes 

   • With a scan tool, perform the Valve Body/Solenoid relearn procedure.
   • Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST - 948TE 9HP48 .

   No 

   • Confirm that the correct valve body for the vehicle was installed. The number of solenoids should be the same as on the one removed.
   • Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST - 948TE 9HP48 .
